What is paraffin wax?
During a paraffin wax treatment, either your hands or feet are placed within a plastic wrapping that is full of warm melted wax. The hands or feet are then left to "soak" in the layer of wax for up to half an hour. Paraffin wax treatments are particular popular in the winter because they are warming and because they help moisturize dry and cracked skin.The warm paraffin is one of the most effective ways of applying heat to reduce the swelling in muscles, decrease inflammation of joints and connective tissues, soothe the pain from arthritis and improve circulation.
